The HKN PoliTo association wins the Outstanding Chapter Award again!

For the sixth consecutive year, the Mu Nu chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (HKN, the honor society of IEEE) at the Politecnico di Torino has been selected among the winners of the Outstanding Chapter Award, alongside universities such as the Georgia Institute of Technology, Purdue University, UC Berkeley, and UC San Diego.

Every year, an international committee of HKN awards the Outstanding Chapter Award to groups that, through their activities, have made a significant impact at their university and local community, choosing among the 263 chapters distributed worldwide.

The Politecnico chapter was honored, in particular, for organizing numerous study groups aimed at helping Politecnico’s students prepare for exams, initiating a mentoring and career guidance program for future engineers, and holding informative events on current engineering topics such as the ethics of Artificial Intelligence and quantum computing.

Currently, the Politecnico chapter has around a hundred members, including students and alumni, graduates, doctoral students, and faculty, many of whom are affiliated with the DAUIN and its degree courses. The faculty advisor of the chapter is Prof. Paolo Montuschi.
The Mu Nu chapter was founded in 2017, the first HKN chapter established in Europe. The association brings together students from IEEE's fields of interest who have demonstrated outstanding merit in their studies and a strong motivation to serve the community through the organization of study groups, events, hackathons, and seminars.
This recognition contributes to increasing pride and a sense of belonging to this global organization whose motto is "Advancing Technology for Humanity".
