Politecnico and Unione Industriali Torino together for new synergies between research and business

The collaboration between Politecnico and Unione Industriali Torino is expanding. On Tuesday, May 20, the SmartData@PoliTO Interdepartmental Center hosted companies associated with the Digital Technologies Group of Unione Industriali Torino in an event dedicated to interdisciplinary solutions for data analysis, projects, and collaboration opportunities for companies, aimed at exploring possible synergies between research and business.
More than 40 companies and about a hundred people participated, including entrepreneurs from the Digital Technologies Group and researchers from the Center, who met to converge their common needs.
The Politecnico's presentations were introduced by Professor Elena Maria Baralis, Vice Rector of Politecnico, Professor Luca Sterpone, Director of the Department of Control and Computer Engineering-DAUIN, and Professor Luca Cagliero, Coordinator of the SmartData@PoliTO Center. The topics covered in the technical speeches included many areas, among them: the challenges, opportunities, and pitfalls of Large Language Models and the impact of artificial intelligence on businesses in the ICT/Digital sector.
Finally, Vittorio Di Tomaso, president of the Digital Technologies Group, highlighted the group's desire to collaborate with Politecnico through the sharing of activities and the creation of synergies with associated companies.
