Alessio Carpegna, Ph.D. student in AI for the DAUIN, was featured in the HiPEAC magazine for Spiker+, with Prof. Alessandro Savino and Stefano Di Carlo.
The article “Spiker+ Simplifying custom hardware for spiking neural networks” explains why spiking neural networks are important and how Spiker+ helps translate these innovative architectures to custom hardware.
The Spiker+ technology is the first open framework to auto-generate FPGA-ready hardware accelerators for Spiking neural networks (SNN). It allows users to automatically generate descriptions of hardware accelerators optimized for their spiking neural networks.
