Matteo Sonza Reorda and Esteban Rodriguez win the LATS Best Paper Award 2025

On March 20, during the closing ceremony of the 27th IEEE Latin American Test Symposium 2026 (LATS2026), the Best Paper Award 2025 was announced.

The award was given for the paper Estimating the Impact of Soft Errors on AI-based Perception in Automotive, coauthored by Matteo Sonza Reorda and Josie Esteban Rodriguez Condia of the DAUIN, with Shailesh Hegde, Dinesh Cyril Selvaraj, Nicola Amati, Carla Fabiana Chiasserini, Francesco Deflorio.
The paper is the result of the work of the research team belonging to the Center for Automotive Research and Sustainable Mobility (CARS) of the Politecnico di Torino.

Abstract
The paper describes a method to analyze the effects of hardware faults in ADAS systems, considering their impact on vehicle behavior. Thanks to the new method, the computational cost of the required reliability analysis can be reduced, allowing designers to devise more effective hardening solutions and identify the most critical scenarios.

The paper is available on IEEE Xplore.
