Building Bridges in AI Research: Phd students of the CRT in AI Programme visiting the Politecnico di Torino.
CRT-AI Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Artificial Intelligence has taken 38 PhD students to the stunning city of Torino, from 1st to 5th April, for an enriching international visit designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
In this visit the PhDs students engaged with leading computer scientists at Politecnico di Torino and the Università di Torino, with the presence of the professors Stefano Di Carlo, Fulvio Corno, Claudio De Martini e Fabrizio Lamberti of the DAUIN.
But such international visits are not just about academic exchange; they are a catalyst for fostering the organic conversations that spark new ideas, expand research, and build lasting professional relationships.
These interactions allowed the CRT-AI researchers to connect with Italian doctoral peers in AI and applied disciplines and key industry stakeholders, creating opportunities to explore interdisciplinary approaches and strengthen global research networks.
